The BBC has been running a series of items on the decline of religion in Ireland. They invited me onto a podcast panel and this is the end result. I thought they had pulled me in because they had read my new book, but no; just a coincidence.

Welcome
This is the blog of my journalism and recordings, with some extracts from my books too. I tend to sound off on Northern Ireland Politics and Culture. Some of the work here will be recent journalism, articles that have appeared in the Belfast Telegraph or elsewhere, but there is a lot of material going back a couple of years now, so please hang around and browse. The video at the end of teh link is no longer working … at least not on my computer tonight. Looked like an interesting panel.
I can’t see the problem Alan. It’s working at the moment.
Back working now. Came up with a big error message (on all the Newsline Faith clips) last night. Empty screens … as well as pulpits.

What about this press conference this morning where the Church leaders are going to solve the academic selection, port-primary transfer and revised curriculum problem? Maybe they aren’t so out of touch after all? The Churches will be packed on Sunday with grateful parents – will you join them?
