They seriously only painted over the Gerry Adams graffiti and not all of it? Unbelievable.
Yes, they seriously only painted out the reference to Gerry Adams.
Greetings Malachi,
I’m an American, just stumbled onto your website. It was interesting to read the perspectives of someone from Northern Ireland, as all the relatives on my mom’s side going back to immigrating to USA from the 1850 potato famine are Irish Catholics.
But, all the relatives on my father’s side going back to when they got kicked out of Ulster around 1700 are Scots-Irish Protestants.
How do I reconcile this huge dichotomy within my genes?
I drink and fight, then raise hell, dabble in fast women and pretty horses, then go to confession. (I only drink Scotch single malt, not beer like the Catholic Irish).
Anyway, hopefully you’ll settle your differences there, I’m thinking that after 310 years of exile here in the colonies, with things looking so bad here in the states, I’m thinking I want to move back….
After all, we Scots-Irish here served out our indentured servitude, massacred all the Shawnees (but left a pocket of Cherokees in North Carolina since they have good casinos).
So put in a good word to the English for us Caudills (used to be Caldwells 300 years ago…)
Cheers Mate,
Steve Caudill
They missed the “s” of Adams. Sloppy work.
